My Personal Testimony of Faith

In this video, I share how I first became aware of the idea of salvation through Jesus. I go into detail about how I started my faith journey at a very young age and how that was challenged in college.

A faith walk is a very personal thing and everyone has a story of their own.

My story starts out with family dynamics and the challenges I encountered there. I’m 40 now and those challenges are still there, believe it or not. Healing and overcoming those foundational cracks will probably end up being a lifelong journey. The reality is that we all face lifelong struggles in some way or another. However, we have a responsibility to ourselves to learn, grow, heal, and become our best self.

One of the people from the Bible I most resonate with is David. In Psalm 42:11 he says…

Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
    my salvation and my God.

In my opinion, David stands out to me from any other person in the Bible because his cries for help, peace, love are incredibly relatable. To me, he seems the most human out of them all. He feels on a level that I can resonate with and I find a lot of inspiration in that.

His stories remind me that even at our lowest, Yah is capable of reaching those depths and not only being present there, but coming alongside us as we make our way out.
