Well…
I am very excited to announce that Rob and I are pregnant! We are expecting another baby girl in March 2024. Being a Mom is one of my highest callings and to add another child to the fold is a total honor. I’m grateful, overjoyed, and if I’m being totally truthful I’m also overwhelmed.
This pregnancy has hit hard. I can’t say this is new though. My last pregnancy was also difficult to cope with especially for the first half. I have been feeling absolutely horrible and experiencing nausea, bloating, total exhaustion, not being able to digest meals quickly, dry heaving, and headache-iness. It hasn’t been fun at all. I was telling a good friend the other day…I just feel like I’m in someone else’s body who unfortunately suffers from daily chronic illness. I just don’t feel like myself. I’m hoping that once we get through the first half, I’ll start feeling better and get the chance to enjoy the pregnancy.
I’ve started performing on chairs and barstools. I love standing and dancing while performing, but my energy levels are extremely low so sitting is the best I can do for now. I will be taking a break from live performances for a while (probably until next summer, at least).
We have our last show scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 20 from 6 to 8pm at the Crescent Hotel. So if you’re in the Eureka Springs area and would like to catch one of our last performances before I go on maternity leave, please come see us.
While I’ll be taking a break from live in-person shows, I will be increasing my online presence with more videos on YouTube and possibly some live streaming here and there. We’ll see how it goes. I’ll also be finishing up the last songs on my album, Work in Progress which is long overdue.
