I'm Still Here

As I look over my life and all the things I’ve been through, I can remember how times have been difficult. I remember times where I couldn’t see a way out of my situation. I remember times where I felt invisible and worthless. I remember times where I felt alone. I remember times when I didn’t know how I was going to pay the bills. I remember times when I thought I would die from being in such excruciating pain. Life is not easy. And it can be easy to feel defeated.

The problem with that is we are never defeated as long as we’re still alive! No matter what circumstance you find yourself in, if you’re still living and breathing, there still hope, there’s still redemption, and there’s still deliverance. Too often we let our circumstances trick us into thinking we’re a failure. But it’s a lie. We have the ability to overcome anything. Everything we’ve ever needed in life, has already been put in us. It’s up to us to take our rightful authority and become conquerers in our own lives. That’s what this song is about. While we never forget what has happened to us, we cherish the victory that we’re still here after it all!

Here are the lyrics to my song I’m Still Here.

I may have tripped and fallen down a couple times, but yet.
I’ve never placed first in a beauty pageant, but yet.
I’m not the best one in the room, but yet.
I’ve been going through the breaks should have been dead by now but yet.

Shout it from the roof top. I’m still here.
Write it down, all down. I’m still here.
Grooving to the beat tonight. I’m still here.
Watch for me now….

Don’t count me out yet. No not yet!

Step one, you’ve got to listen to me now yet.
Step two, don’t let it get you down now yet.
You’ve got to fight, you still got a fight in you yet.
Take it from a soul sis, I’ve been doing it and still not down yet!

The London Bridget might fall down.
And the skies might turn dark and grey.
But all I know is through this time I’ve been here right here.
