Increase Retails Sales at Your Houston Store with Events
We just got back from performing at an event at Brave Boutique in the Houston, TX area. It was amazing! The store was packed for practically the entire time we were there performing.
For a Sunday afternoon at a retail boutique, I'd say that's a huge success! The event was a two-fold celebration actually. Brave is celebrating their 2nd year anniversary as well as the opening of a 2nd location. Kudos to Kendra, Brave's owner, for stepping out on faith and opening a fashion retail store based on her personal passions and hobbies! I'm so glad I was invited to be a part of the festivities!

That's Kendra in the picture above third from the right. She said she had no idea how many people to expect, but was over the moon that so many people came. I lost count after about the first hour or so, but there was a steady stream of people coming in and I'd say there were at least 100 folks there if not more in the span of just a few hours.
If you're looking for a way to bring people to your store and increase sales, I'll tell you, this is the way to go! We provided soulful entertainment as a backdrop to fun shopping. There were door prizes and free wine from Chelsea Wine Bar, another venue where we perform at by the way. There was an amazing spread of appetizers as well!
Increasing foot traffic to your retail shop in the Houston area can be difficult because there are so many fabulous local shops to choose from. So it's important to make your store standout. Brave Boutique has done an excellent job of creating a great rewards program to encourage repeat customer shopping and to help build up their mailing list. Having frequent events entices people to come out because it gives them something to look forward to and injects more of a fun atmosphere into the shopping experience. On top of that, incorporating live entertainment gives an event more spunk and gives people another reason to want to come out and participate. Kendra, the owner of Brave Boutique, echoed that in her feedback to me after the event...
Promoting the event was a cinch! I created a Facebook Event for the party and Kendra sent out a mass email to her mailing list. We advertised it on social media and voila! That's all we did. A clear indication of how important it is to have a mailing list and to actively send out high quality correspondence to people on your list. You don't have to have a large list either. As long as you're sending out valuable mailers such as coupons and discounts, new items, look books, etc. your subscribers will be engaged so that when you do promote these events, they will come out.
